Clean Cab Radio Data Message Feature

In the interest of greater utilization of the NXDN digital protocol, Ritron, Inc., with the assistance of Class 1 railroad customers, has developed a possible new feature for the NXDN Digital RCCR Locomotive Voice Radio. The feature allows NXDN packet data to be received by the locomotive radio, along with a voice alert message, and displays the data message in the form of a scrolling text message on the RCCR radio display. The voice message and scrolling text message are triggered by a defect detector on the wayside, both types of messages can be re-played by the Engineer if needed.
